About Me

I graduated school with a minor in Nutrition. Health and nutrition have always fascinated me; I loved learning how food can positively or negatively affect your mind and body.

And then I got married and learned how to cook. From experience, I learned that my husband and I were both happier (and duh, healthier!) when I cooked healthy, fresh ingredient filled foods.

I try to make a lot of my meals from scratch but lets be honest, I don't always have the time.
I try to make healthy, well-balanced meals all the time, but lets be honest, sometimes I just want fried chicken. So those times I crave fried chicken, I make it at home, from scratch.

From scratch = healthy to me. If I make brownies from scratch, I believe they are healthy for me. They are much healthier than the processed forms of brownies you would get from the box.

So this is my promise to you: I will mostly post healthy, good-for-your-mind-and-body foods; but I will also throw in some treats (from scratch) as well.

This blog will be a journal of my culinary adventures.
